Near the end of the 2008 elections, just days before election day; I thought it proper to research the presidential candidates thoroughly. Though I had decided to write in Ron Paul for president, I first had to find out if he was still running.
Among my discoveries, I found that Obama was seriously being considered as the Man of Lawlessness, McCain didn't impress me any, Ron Paul fell out of candidacy, and endorsed Chuck Baldwin.
Chuck Baldwin seemed to hold many of Ron Paul's limited Government policies and advocacy of the Constitution. He seemed the best candidate, though I would have preferred Ron Paul because of his proven track record.
Coming into the campaign as late as I did, 3 days before election day; I was enveloped with information on the Internet and YouTube.com. I spent all my free time those days really getting caught up on a lot that happened; the Republican primaries and their debates, and the presidential debates.
Previously taking a no-political-involvement stance, I felt like my eyes were being opened to reality. I mean this was really happening, and the future of our country would be determined by the outcome of these elections, right? I began to seriously question my stance and look down on those who cared little about current events and weren't ready to take action.
